What motivates you in the morning?

I don’t depend on motivation to get things done.

What is your mantra for when things are tough?

Not really a mantra but I just remember my whys when things get tough. My whys include my two daughters, my SWAT team, my street crimes team, and my Air Force DAGRE team.

If you could do anything else, what would it be and why?

Nothing, I love what I do. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be doing it.

Describe your best moment ever.

Being able to attend my daughter’s school functions and activities.

How did you get into your profession?

Being a cop was never something I even thought about growing up. It was something I started to looking into it in my early 20s. A lot of the Sergeants in the Marine Corps reserve unit I was in were cops as well and they would tell stories about work and that got me interested. I then starting doing my own research looking into swat and I was sold.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Time is the only resource you will never get back. Use it wisely.

What are your top three Pelican products?

1650 Protector Case - This is probably my most used Pelican product. It is perfect for when I have to travel either on military orders or for law enforcement courses where I need to bring a bunch of gear such as my helmet, plate carrier, gun belt, uniforms, boots, rifle (broken down into upper and lower), and miscellaneous items like batteries, gloves, towels, shower shoes etc…
Pelican 45QW Elite Wheeled Cooler – The size of this cooler is perfect for full days worth of drinks or whatever you need to camp. I’ve had ice last 4-5 days with this cooler. The wheels are a back saver. The latches also add another level of protection to the cooler in case you accidentally drop it.
Ruck cases – these cases come in handy for all sorts of things. I use the small case to store extra batteries for all my weapon lights and optics along with my multi tool and an external battery pack to power my work phone and devices. I use the medium case store my 308 rounds for my bold gun, extra magazines, and ear protection. It is crucial that all of these items are safe from the elements. These cases help ensure that.
