Torrance, CA -

Torrance-based Pelican Products, the global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases for protecting valuable equipment recently contributed nearly 2,000 of their legendary, tough advanced lighting products to aid much needed relief efforts.

“We are all just pleased we are able to make a contribution to the relief efforts and that our lighting products will be on the scene, hopefully making a difference where they’re needed most - aiding in the extensive recovery that Japan is facing,” said Lyndon Faulkner, President and CEO of Pelican Products, “In addition to our donation, we offer our thoughts and prayers for those affected by this epic disaster.”

The shipment, which was packed by Pelican employees from all departments, will ship to Japan within the week. Geologists have said that the 8.9 earthquake (which claimed thousands of lives and shifted the entire island of Japan 8 feet), was one of the largest in recorded history.
