As Group President, Phil Gyori brings over 30 years of executive and management experience to his role in leading Pelican’s multiple divisions worldwide.
With a proven track record of driving rapid business growth, prior to joining Pelican, Gyori managed multi-million dollar budgets and has a rich background in marketing, business development and brand management. His expertise also extends to other cross-functional areas including sales, engineering, purchasing and overseas sourcing. Gyori has served in leadership roles at Nike, Procter & Gamble, and The Quaker Oats Company and has experience working with private equity firms.
Prior to Pelican he spent 16 years as an executive at Bushnell, a global leader in Sports Optics & Outdoor Recreation, where he was personally responsible for a $400 million P&L and where he helped grow the business from $100 million to $600 million. During his tenure at Bushnell, Gyori drove significant organic growth by directing the global marketing and product development efforts for the company’s portfolio of 20 brands competing across 30+ product categories. He was also instrumental in the strategic acquisition and successful integration of 10 companies.
Gyori holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
