Staff Picks: Must-Have Pelican Products, Chosen by the Pros
November 1, 2024

At Pelican, we know our products inside and out, but it’s the products our staff frequently uses that really stands out. Every month, we ask team members to share insights into their personal favorites, revealing must-have essentials and showcasing how they use Pelican products in their daily lives and weekend adventures. In this month’s spotlight, we asked Nic Coplen, Digital Communications Manager, and Pelican’s Sr. Graphic Designer, about the products they can’t live without.

Why: My grab and go case. Compact & lightweight. Have it loaded out w/ the TrekPak divider system to fit my camera body, 2 lenses, 0915 Micro Memory Card Case and 35mm film camera w/ 4 rolls of film. This case usually goes with me everywhere I go on a daily basis.
Why: I have a couple of these in essential places around the house. But primarily keep this flashlight in my vehicle w/ my emergency kit. It has micro-USB port charging capabilities and when in a pinch it could charge my phone if needed. Almost 1,000 lumens and 4 different lighting modes. Also, a go-to camping item for those early morning bathroom runs.
Why: An absolute must when going camping or hitting the beach for the day. Fits up to 12 cans easily and is lightweight with a shoulder strap that makes for easy transportation. Throw it on my back and bike down to the beach or hit a hike. After the adventure is done, I can hose it out and let it air dry. It’s perfect.

M40 Micro Case ( or other sizes)
Why: Can never have enough of these. I use them for GoPro, use it to bury my stuff at the beach when I surf solo, have one in my hockey bag to keep small tools and spare hardware for getting lost, bike fix-it kit in my car. just about everything.
Why: I use it a lot for day trips and for cool drinks when I get out of the water, or beers and a snack after a day of riding. It gets cold fast and the basket helps keep things from getting soggy.
Why: This is always in my car as it’s the perfect size and protection for my roadside emergency kit. I have a tire inflator, battery jumper, first aid, gloves, small tool set, and a 2765 headlamp inside.
