Water Camera Operator based on the North Shore of O’ahu. Benjamin Ono’s unique style has brought him around the globe - filming some of the ocean’s largest aquatic mammals as well as some of the planet’s most fascinating watermen/women.

What motivations you in the morning?

The need to create… and coffee!

What is your mantra for when things are tough?

As long as its what you love - the tough times become fun.

If you could do anything else, what would it be and why?

I’m pretty content with the work I’m doing now!

Describe your best moment ever

Too many unique moments to count - but everyone in the ocean.

How did you get into your profession?

Took one underwater photo and couldn’t stop.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever receieved?

Persistence is key..

What are your top three Pelican products?

Pelican 1535 - I pack light and need protection from the elements. I’ve taken this case around the world.
Pelican 0945 - Memory cards are the gold. Every moment is stored here and must be protected at all costs - a travel essential.
64oz Bottle - I’m always on the go and need to stay hydrated. More water the better.
