Getting engaged in front of bears, standing in the rushing rivers of Alaska last month!
How did you get into your profession?
After shooting with extreme sport athletes and fellow outdoor enthusiasts, I’ve found myself seeking photography opportunities that challenge me to push past my comfort zone. I’ve always thrived shooting in uncontrolled environments so when I started working with Red Bull kayaker, Rafa Ortiz, that was the defining moment where I knew I was heading in the right direction with my photography.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
“Don’t dress rehearse tragedy”. — Brené Brown.
What are your top three Pelican products?
All Pelican AIR cases are incredibly lightweight which are vital for hike-in photoshoots.
1535 is perfect for a carry on. Knowing I can keep my gear with me at all times, and safe from unexpected travel risk is huge.
Ruck cases are one of my favorite items to keep my media safe. I can store personal items such as my phone and wallet. Having everything in one safe, waterproof place really helps my workflow and sanity.
