Pelican Products Welcomes George Platisa as Chief Financial Officer

Pelican Products, Inc., is pleased to announce that longtime executive George Platisa has been hired as Chief Financial Officer effective May 21, 2019.

The CFO is one of the most influential positions at Pelican. Mr. Platisa will be responsible for leading Pelican’s financial strategies worldwide. He will oversee financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, accounting and reporting, budgeting, investor relations, due diligence activities associated with acquisitions and divestitures, treasury, tax and risk management. He will help guide growth and profitability and will participate in setting the financial strategy for the company.

Mr. Platisa has held high-level management positions in a range of industries such as consumer electronics, media and entertainment. His career trajectory has included stints at Belkin International, Price Waterhouse, Walt Disney Company, Broadband Sports, and Ascent Media Corporation.

Platisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from La Verne University.
