Pelican’s Kathy Gorey Nominated to Board of Directors for the Association of Rotational Molders

Pelican Products, Inc., the global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance protective cases, temperature-controlled packaging solutions and advanced portable lighting systems, is proud to announce Kathy Gorey, long time employee, has been nominated to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Rotational Molders (ARM). The ARM is a worldwide trade association with the objective to increase awareness of rotational molding technologies and processes. The Association will officially nominate Gorey at their October meeting where the membership will vote to approve. “The nomination of Kathy Gorey to the Association of Rotational Molders Board comes as no surprise to Pelican as Kathy has excelled with the company in numerous capacities since 1990,” said Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Sunil Malhotra. “Kathy’s experience and knowledge in the molding field is an asset to the Pelican brand and our customers and would be strengthened by her serving on the ARM Board.” Gorey started with Hardigg Industries (acquired by Pelican in 2009) in the Engineering Department as a Drafter and now works as a Project Engineer in the Manufacturing Engineering Department at Pelican’s South Deerfield, Massachusetts plant. Kathy has a degree in Mechanical Drawing and certificates in Metal Machining and Metal Working. “After analyzing several molders profiles, we have decided Kathy Gorey and Pelican Products represent very well the members we want to serve better every day,” stated Conchita Miranda, Nominating Committee and Board of Directors member for ARM. “Kathy’s presence at the Board will help on giving guidance to staff on how to run the Association.” The term for Kathy Gorey on the Board of Directors for the Association of Rotational Molders would run from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022. Kathy currently sits on both the Education Committee (since 2010) and the Process Optimization Committee (since 2017) for the ARM. She is also 1 of 4 Student Design Judges for the ARM Annual College Student Design Competition for Rotational Molded Products (since 2010).
