Pelican™ is proud to announce our bear resistant certification from the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee.

The purpose of this certification is to help keep bears safe and significantly reduce bear-human encounters by ensuring that bears do not have access and become conditioned to anthropogenic foods and other bear attractants that increase these encounters.

This certification involves intense impact and penetration testing by use of visual inspection, mechanical methods and captive Grizzly Bear testing over extended periods of time.

Information relative to the IGBC testing and certification program can be viewed at www.IGBConline.org.

**Pelican™ Elite Coolers are certified bear-resistant by the IGBC under certification numbers 3365, 3366, 3373, 3374, 3375, 3376

Meets the hype.

I bought this cooler to use as a lunchbox. I load it up with ice on Monday, and top it up with food every morning. It sits in the backseat of my pick up truck all day, every day, which can easily hit 40C/104F. It has no problems keeping the ice all week. For working in the trades/field I can't think of a better option that doesn't involve electricity, and even then this unit would hold it's own for days, without moving parts to eventually break down. The price is higher than your average cooler, but you're getting a durable, high-quality unit, and supporting a company that employs people that make a living wage. Well worth it, in my opinion.

20 qt Pelican

I've had this cooler for almost 3 years now and it has been great. It seals so well it is actually hard to open sometimes, which in my opinion is a good thing. I've taken this cooler to the beach, on construction sights with work, and in the back of Side by sides trail riding and it has taken a beaten and stills works perfectly. I've seen yetis and comparable coolers crack or break with comparative beatings! Only complaint is no drain plug, but with a 20 qt that isn't a big issue

Perfect cooler all around

We have two of these things and we take them everywhere with us, especially on the boat. One is for the kids and food, and the other is for the adult drinks. In 103 degree weather, this thing sits on the swim step of our boat all day, and at the end of the day, its still full of ice.
