The name of the combined companies is Pelican Products, Inc.
Where will products be manufactured?
The location of manufacturing facilities is to be determined. Presently the original line of Pelican products will continue to be manufactured in California, the UK and Germany. Hardigg products will continue to be manufactured in Massachusetts, Indiana and France.
Where will administrative offices be located?
Current office locations will remain the same with Corporate being Torrance, California.
Will more manufacturing facilities be opening?
Not at this time, but as the business grows, opportunities to expand operations, jobs and footprint around the world will be explored.
Will manufacturing processes remain the same?
Yes, manufacturing will remain the same in each respective location with planned productivity initiatives in place.
Will Pelican incorporate roto molding processes?
Roto molding processes will remain in Massachusetts, Indiana and France.
Will Case Centers close?
There is no immediate plan to close Case Centers. Like with all aspects of the business, they will be reviewed as part of the combined company strategy to determine the future requirements of the business.
Why is this transaction taking place?
Pelican and Hardigg's manufacturing strengths complement each other and their combined selling models offer a strong synergy. Sales channels will be leveraged and innovation will be accelerated. The two companies combined will become a stronger market leader and will grow even larger with a worldwide reputation for quality.
What will happen to the Storm Case line?
We will evaluate both product lines and take the best approach to meet our business needs. We plan to have the broadest injection molding product range on the market, taking advantage of the innovations made by both companies to deliver the best of both ranges.
Will the Hardigg website remain?
In the short term, the Hardigg website will be available and over time, all web sites will migrate to the Pelican brand.
