PELICAN
SUCCESSFUL IN CEASE AND DESIST ACTION AGAINST CHINESE INFRINGMENT
TORRANCE,
CALIFORNIA Pelican Products, Inc., the Torrance, California maker
of high quality flashlights and protective equipment cases, has succeeded
in its actions towards the voluntary removal of Chinese origin flashlights
infringing Pelicans trademarks and patents. Ningbo Toco Electric
Co., Ltd. of Yuyao Zhejiang, China has agreed to cease the sale and distribution
of copies of five of Pelicans flashlights. Dealers in the U.S. have
agreed to pull the products from their shelves and destroy them in recognition
of Pelicans intellectual property rights.
