NETWORK SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Pelican has an immediate opening for a Network Support Technician who will have the responsibility for providing support for LAN, WAN, 802.11 Wireless and infrastructure, including cabling, desktop, peripheral, and software installations, changes and troubleshooting.  Provides system and software support and assists in the development of procedures and tech-tips.  Manage Active Directory user and policies, oversees exchange 2003 Administration, handle service requests from management and end-users.  In addition, the successful candidate will maintain help desk application and provides weekly metrics, assist in the development of procedures and tech tips, assist in backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Three or more years experience in working with end users in a networked Active Directory/Exchange Environment.
• Proficient with current Windows with some Linux including Office Applications, We Solutions, and SQL Services.
• Experienced with Network Monitoring Solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot network, desk-tops, printers, peripherals, and wireless both OS and hardware.
