ASSISTANT WEB DESIGNER

Pelican is looking for an ASSISTANT WEB DESIGNER whose area of responsibility is to assist in the planning, development, testing, editing, maintenance, and documentation of websites. Ensures search engine optimization implementation and testing, assists in pay-per-click marketing campaigns (including ROI evaluations), and assists in designing web pages. The ideal candidate should possess strong HTML abilities, technical savvy, attention to detail, design skills, proven expertise in web development and the ability to manage multi-lingual, global websites by coordinating disparate groups in order to effectively launch websites in foreign languages globally. Portfolio of work is required.

* Strong HTML and CSS skills required
* Multimedia experience required
* Knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, ImageReady, and JavaScript required
* Proficient concept and layout skills required
* PHP and/or MySQL experience desirable
* Must be accurate, organized, detail-oriented and thorough in all areas of work
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
